WELCOME!Thank you for your interest in ARID! ARID, Arkansas Registry of the Interpreters for the Deaf is an affiliate chapter of the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) www.rid.org. ARID is a membership driven nonprofit organization committed to insuring interpreter professional development and strives to provide and maintain high quality interpreting services here in Arkansas. Our diverse membership is comprised of individuals who hold national and/or state certification who may be seasoned interpreters or novice interpreters, as well as, individuals who are "not yet" certified, interpreting students, teachers, service providers, parents and other "interested" parties. Our membership is 127 strong! These dedicated individuals continue their professional development by attending local, regional and national workshops and conferences. ARID has a rich heritage deeply rooted in the history of our profession. We are very proud of the countless untold hours ARID members have unselfishly given at the local, regional and national levels. ARID's contribution has been impressive and is well known within our profession. Not only do these dedicated interpreters provide excellent interpreting services locally, they continue providing excellent interpreting services all over the world! We invite you to attend our General Membership Meetings! We welcome your input! ARID General Membership Meetings are held quarterly and the times and locations will be announced.
